Hi, I’m Monica, and I’m the proud owner of Akaya, a space that’s been a dream of mine for years.

Before opening this salon, I spent a significant part of my life working in education, helping students grow and thrive. While I loved that chapter of my life, I always had a deep desire to create something of my own  a place where beauty, confidence, and care come together.

That’s how Akaya was born. I wanted to build more than just a salon I wanted to build an experience. A place where every client feels seen, heard, and pampered by professionals who genuinely love what they do.

From expert skincare and PMU to stunning hair transformations and detailed nail art, everything we offer here is done with skill, passion, and a personal touch. Starting this salon was a leap of faith, but it’s also been the most rewarding journey of my life.
